ATHLETICS
Badminton:
The Jr. Badminton team competed in SWAC Districts on Saturday May 3rd at SCCHS. It was a very competitive day as teams from all over the Chinook School Division battled to make it to the gold medal match. SCCHS had a great showing as all teams advanced to the playoffs and 3 out of 4 teams played in the gold medal matches. Congratulations to the following teams on a very successful badminton season:
Maverick F. - 3rd in boys singles
Isaac F. / Arvee S. - 2nd in boys doubles
Reece L. / Sofia U. - 2nd in girls doubles
Emberlyn F.I. / Tayvin C. - 2nd in mixed doubles
Track and Field
SCCHS held their annual Invitational Track and Field meet Saturday May 3. The team had a very successful meet breaking 15 records and recording too many personal bests to count. Congratulations to all athletes and thank you to all of our volunteers!

Rowan R - Senior Boys 400m 49.66s (breaking previous mark of 52.50s set in 2007)

Drama
The SCCHS Drama students and directors are off to provincials later this week! Before that, “For What It’s Worth” is hosting another home community show tomorrow at 7pm! Come and enjoy entertainment from the talented cast and crew! Doors open at 6:30pm. Tickets available at the door.
Band
7 0’Clock Jazz rehearses today at 12:25 pm in the jazz studio.
