GENERAL

Driver’s Ed:

Tuesday, June 3: SGI Exams at noon & after school. Bring your Chromebooks

 

Noon Open Gym

There will be NO Open Gym tomorrow at lunch

 

Fitness Center

The Fitness Center is closed today at lunch

 

Blanket Exercise with Elders: Room 238

All EAL Periods 5 and 6 students (and possibly past EAL students and/or International Club friends) are to come to Room 238 at 1:10 PM to begin the Blanket Exercise afternoon event with Elders.  The event goes BOTH Periods 5 and 6. First preference will be given to Semester 2 EAL Periods 5 and 6 students and after that, leftover spaces to past EAL students and/or interested International Club students. 20-25 students maximum is our room cap for Room 238.

 

Yearbook Photos

The Yearbook needs more of you! Sharing photos with the yearbook staff has never been easier

  2. Upload your favorite photos from the year.
  3. Tag students or the event for the yearbook staff. 

Photos can be submitted until June 27; however, the sooner we receive them the more likely they are to be added to the yearbook. 




ATHLETICS

Colts Football

Equipment pick up for returning athletes Tuesday June 3 12:04 pm-12:25 pm in the upper gym.

Equipment pick up for new athletes Tuesday June 3 3:24 pm- 3:45 pm.

 

First day of spring practice is Tuesday June 9 after school.  Spring practice is open to all SCCHS students; see Mr. Herrick in the gym for more information.

Best Buddies

Pizza and Kickball with the 57’s

Science Club

No meeting this week as Vaishu is headed to the Canada-Wide Science Fair in New Brunswick! Have fun and good luck to our SCCHS senior! — but don’t let your guard down, just yet, our last Science Club meeting of the year is next week, and it's going out with a bang. You won’t want to miss it! Get ready for something fiery, flashy, and totally unforgettableQuestion of the Day! Why does metal spark in the microwave?




FINE ARTS

Band

7 0’Clock Jazz rehearsal at 12:25 pm in the jazz studio. Last noon rehearsal of the year.

 

Visual Arts

CHALK THE WALK: Permission Forms are due TODAY!! 

Items to Bring:

  • A water bottle!!
  • Snacks such as granola bars or goldfish (Easily cleaned-up items)
  • Sunscreen/hat/phone charger/charging block
  • Dress for the weather! (This is NOT a time to tan!)

Optional:

  • Some students prefer to bring their own chalk. There will be chalk and pastels available on carts on the day of, but it is shared amongst all of the artists.
  • Cardboard or something soft to kneel on

Senior Sunset Spikeball Tournament

The Grad Committee is proud to introduce the first ever Spectacular Ultimate Spikeball Cup! The tournament starts at 7:30PM on June 4th. Winners will receive a prize along with the title of SUS 

Cup champions! Use the form on the grad google classroom to register in teams of two by May 31st 11:59PM.

 

Grad Clothing

Every Friday is Grad clothing day!

 

Grad Tickets on sale Next Week for Cap and Gown + Dry Grad -  Next 2 noon hours!

An email will be sent out from the school with waivers needed for the dry grad party activities.  ALL GRADS and their ESCORTS are required to sign the forms and bring them to the school on the days listed below in order to pick up their Grad tickets and to purchase their dry grad tickets. 

 

Your 10 Cap and & Gown/Grand March Tickets (Free) and DRY GRAD ticket sales (Prices listed below) will be handed out from 12:00 to 1:00 on the listed days outside the main office at SCCHS.   

 

ALL TICKETS MUST BE PICKED UP AND PURCHASED ON ONE THESE DAYS: 

MONDAY JUNE 2 TUESDAY JUNE 3 

 

 

 

DRY GRAD TICKET PRICES 

The DRY GRAD includes games, axe throwing, bouncy castles, dancing, pictures, hypnotists, food and prizes.  It’s a full evening with Doors closing at 9:30 pm and should end about 2 am. 

 

If you sold a box of Chocolates   $50 

NO chocolate sales    $100 

Escorts   $75

Deadline is Tuesday, June 3rd!!!  

 

TO MAKE THESE CHANGES GO TO THE CEREMONY/DRY GRAD TICKET PICK UP LOCATION  AT NOON HOUR (OUTSIDE THE MAIN OFFICE).   

Available days include:  Mon. June 2, or Tues. June 3 ONLY.    Make the time to go to one of these because changes won't be made after the cut off date.

 

Graduation at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church

Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church is hosting a Graduation Mass on Tuesday, June 3rd at 7pm with snacks to follow.

This is an open invitation to any graduating students and the former All Saints Catholic School students.



STUDENT SERVICES

SEMESTER 2 COURSE DROP DEADLINE  - Friday June 6th

Grade 11 or Grade 12 students looking to drop a Semester 2 course have until June 6th to complete the course drop process.  Forms are available in student services.  Students should review their credits, have a discussion with their teacher and parents and speak with Mrs. Kohlman in student services to review how this choice will impact their graduation plan.
