GENERAL

Cell Phones 

When walking into any given classroom, there are often way more students in the class than cell phones in the holders.  Reminder that cell phones are to be housed in the holders at the beginning of class.  Students should not be in possession of their phones during class time unless they have a spare.

Remember to return or renew your overdue library books! If you have any questions about the books you’ve signed out, ask Ms. Pérez in the library or via google chat. 



ATHLETICS

The SWAC District Track and Field Championships were held May 28 in Swift Current.  SCCHS sent 71 athletes to the meet.  Many athletes earned personal best performances and established new meet records.  SCCHS qualified 56 athletes to SHSAA Provincials in Moose Jaw June 6 & 7. 

 

The following broke records at the meet:

 

Intermediate Girls 

Laynee R - 80m Hurdles (12.15s), 400m (1:00.83), 800m (2:24.64)

Emily M - 100m (12.40s), 200m (25.59s)

Mackenna St - Pole Vault (2.20m)

 

Senior Girls 

Lyla T - 80m Hurdles (11.58s), Pole Vault (2.30m)

 

Intermediate Boys 

Isaac S - Pole Vault (2.60m)

Junior Boys 

Karlson O - 100m Wheelchair (42.08s), 400m Wheelchair (3:15.63)

Kyler D - 100m (10.66s), 200m (22.15s)

Elliot J - 100m Hurdles (13.62s)

Jr. Boys 4x100m (Jacob P, Clinton A, Elliot J, Kyler D)

 

Senior Boys

Arden of the Week

Arden of the week is grade 11 student athlete, Hannah R. Hannah is a 3 year member of the badminton team. Her dedication to the team was demonstrated by her consistent attendance at practice, her readiness to help with any task, and her willingness to work with all her teammates to help improve their and her skills. Throughout the season Hannah has been described by her opposing coaches as a natural badminton player. They refer to both her calm and collected nature on the court, and how effortless her court movement and shots appear. Her sportsmanship, and her hard work and determination have shaped her into one of the strongest and classiest girls singles athletes in the Southwest. On Saturday May 3rd Hannah competed at the SHSAA Regional Championships and placed 4th in the tournament. Congratulations on a successful season, Hannah!



CLUBS

International Club: Meeting on Friday

The International Club will meet TODAY at lunch in Room 238. A bit of 2025-2026 planning and ‘Sailor Moon’. I-Club Karaoke poster with MCOS logos will also need to be completed–thanks, Chris and Scotty.

Visual Arts

CHALK THE WALK: Last day to sign up is TODAY Friday May 30th! Chalk the Walk is set to take place Thursday June 5th!! Permission forms due Monday June 2nd. 

Items to Bring:

  • A water bottle!!
  • Snacks such as granola bars or goldfish (Easily cleaned-up items)
  • Sunscreen/hat/phone charger/charging block
  • Dress for the weather! (This is NOT a time to tan!)



Optional:

  • Some students prefer to bring their own chalk. There will be chalk and pastels available on carts on the day of, but it is shared amongst all of the artists.
  • Cardboard or something soft to kneel on

Senior Sunset Spikeball Tournament

The Grad Committee is proud to introduce the first ever Spectacular Ultimate Spikeball Cup! The tournament starts at 7:30PM on June 4th. Winners will receive a prize along with the title of SUS 

 

Cup champions! Use the form on the grad google classroom to register in teams of two by May 31st 11:59PM.

 

Grad Clothing

Every Friday is Grad clothing day!

 

Grad Tickets on sale Next Week for Cap and Gown + Dry Grad -  Next 3 noon hours!

An email will be sent out from the school with waivers needed for the dry grad party activities.  ALL GRADS and their ESCORTS are required to sign the forms and bring them to the school on the days listed below in order to pick up their Grad tickets and to purchase their dry grad tickets. 

 

Your 10 Cap and & Gown/Grand March Tickets (Free) and DRY GRAD ticket sales (Prices listed below) will be handed out from 12:00 to 1:00 on the listed days outside the main office at SCCHS.   

 

ALL TICKETS MUST BE PICKED UP AND PURCHASED ON ONE THESE DAYS: 

FRIDAY MAY 30 

MONDAY JUNE 2

TUESDAY JUNE 3 

 

 

DRY GRAD TICKET PRICES 

The DRY GRAD includes games, axe throwing, bouncy castles, dancing, pictures, hypnotists, food and prizes.  It’s a full evening with Doors closing at 9:30 pm and should end about 2 am. 

 

If you sold a box of Chocolates   $50 

NO chocolate sales    $100 

Escorts   $75

TO MAKE THESE CHANGES GO TO THE CEREMONY/DRY GRAD TICKET PICK UP LOCATION  AT NOON HOUR (OUTSIDE THE MAIN OFFICE).   

Available days include:  Fri. May 30, Mon. June 2, or Tues. June 3 ONLY.    Make the time to go to one of these because changes won't be made after the cut off date.

 

Graduation at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church

Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church is hosting a Graduation Mass on Tuesday, June 3rd at 7pm with snacks to follow.

This is an open invitation to any graduating students and the former All Saints Catholic School students.




STUDENT SERVICES

SEMESTER 2 COURSE DROP DEADLINE  - Friday June 6th

Grade 11 or Grade 12 students looking to drop a Semester 2 course have until June 6th to complete the course drop process.  Forms are available in student services.  Students should review their credits, have a discussion with their teacher and parents and speak with Mrs. Kohlman in student services to review how this choice will impact their graduation plan.
