Terry Fox Run & Welcome Back Assembly - Thurs. Sept. 25th

Here's a fun Terry Fox fact for today! Fact: Did you know that Terry ran an average of 42 kilometres every day for 143 days. That’s like running a full marathon every single day! So let’s step up and make a difference!

SLC has challenged our SCCHS staff to help raise money by getting PIED IN THE FACE LIVE AT THE ASSEMBLY!  Starting on TODAY at noon, bring a toonie and vote for which staff member you want to get PIED!  All donations are welcome, but for every toonie you donate, you get YOUR name entered to be the one to PIE THAT STAFF MEMBER!!!   The student draw will be live during assembly so your name might be called down.  Let’s have some fun for a great cause, bring your toonies starting Monday!  Collection is Monday to Wednesday this week.

Who do you want to get PIED in face??  Mr. Thingelstad?  Mr. Braun? Miss Thompson? Mr. Neufeld? Mr. Siemens?  Mr. Nelson? Or Mr. Lehmann?

ATHLETICS

Sr. Boys Volleyball

The Sr. A Colts volleyball team travelled to Meadow Lake this weekend and claimed gold defeating the hometown Spartans 25-22, 27-25  in the final.  Come out this weekend and cheer on the Colts as they host their home tournament.  The Colts play at 1:30, 3:30 and 8:30 in the Comp gym on Friday.

Jr Ardens Red

The Jr Ardens Red team travelled to Regina this past weekend for the Winston Knoll Tournament where they captured gold against Miller.

The International Club

The International Club will meet TODAY in Room 238 at lunch. Remember: I-Club meetings are now Friday and Monday rotations. So, this week, we meet today and not this Thursday and the following week, on Thursday, October 2, 2025.

“United Colours of SCCHS” photo campaign is on! We are looking to do three (3) school photographs that represent the colourful diversity of our building. “Diversity” in this sense is different interests (clubs, sports, etc.), fashion sense, different cultures, orientations, etc. If you are in the International Club or just an interested SCCHS student, please come to Room 238 to voice your interest today: we are looking for photo models. Qualifications: good smile, comfortable with being in a photo seen by the school community, and interested in representing diversity side-by-side with fellow students.
